AVI supports the implementation of the Australian Volunteers Program on behalf of the Australian Government. The Australian Volunteers Program sends skilled Australian volunteers on assignments in 26 countries to work alongside organisations to sustainably build the capacity of people, organisations and communities. The Regional Security and Risk Coordinator will provide high quality, responsive advice and support to the Program to ensure that we are meeting our security and risk compliance obligations. The role will report to, and support the Global Risk and Security Adviser based in Melbourne, in responding to risk and security incidents in a timely and effective manner. Please note: This role is a locally engaged position and is open to Nationals, Permanent Residents or those with working rights in Indonesia only.

The successful applicant will possess the following: � Relevant tertiary qualification and/or equivalent experience � Demonstrated security and risk management experience � Demonstrated experience of managing incidents involving high levels of uncertainty in high pressure situations � Working knowledge of security and safety requirements in a local and international setting � Sound knowledge of risk/security and WHS policy and practices � Experience dealing with complex personnel issues across multiple geographies and cultures � High level of cross-cultural awareness � preferably gained by working / living internationally � Sound knowledge of, and commitment to the underpinning values, goals and objectives of AVI and the Australian Volunteers Program. � Understanding of and commitment to EEO, WHS, Child Protection and privacy principles For a full outline of the position and applicant requirements please see the Position Description on the AVI website www.avi.org.au.
